COUNSELLING PROCESS OF GGSIPU.

This post is to explain the counselling procedure of GGSIPU to the new students.
GGSIPU,DELHI conducts PHYSICAL COUNSELLING. 


PHYSICAL COUNSELLING - Counselling where the students need to select the course+college in front of the officials responsible for the admission process. Example:- GGSIPU 


ONLINE COUNSELLING- Counselling where the students need to select the course+college online through the links provided by the officials of the admission process. Example:- IIT , AIEEE


DOCUMENTS NEEDED AT THE TIME OF COUNSELLING:
1) DEMAND DRAFT/ PAY ORDER of requisite fees in the favour of  REGISTRAR, GURU GOBIND SINGH INDRAPRASHTA UNIVERSITY payable at DELHI.


WARNING:This is the most important document, you can get admission without marksheet(or any other document) but without DD/ Pay Order you can't even entertained. 


2) Verification Form given in prospectus (PHOTOCOPY)
3) Preference Sheet given in prospectus (PHOTOCOPY)
4) IPU-CET ORIGINAL ADMIT CARD
If you don't have or lost then contact the office of GGSIPU before one day of your counselling date.
5) MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
6) CHARACTER CERTIFICATE
NOTE: If you are a dropper then bring a CHARACTER CERTIFICATE letter signed by GAZETTED OFFICER. Your school character certificate will not be accepted if it is of the year in which you passed your 12th class.


NOTE: All above 6 documents will be retained by the UNIVERSITY with the photocopy of 10th Passing certificate, 12th marksheet and passing certificate. CASTE CERTIFICATE PHOTOCOPY ALSO IF YOU ARE FROM RESERVED CATEGORY. PH CERTIFICATE PHOTOCOPY IF YOU ARE FROM PH CATEGORY.


7) 10th CERTIFICATE (PHOTOCOPY)
8) 12th CERTIFICATE (PHOTOCOPY)
9) 12th MARKSHEET (PHOTOCOPY)
10) CASTE/ PH Certificate if applicable ( PHOTOCOPY)


NOTE: Don't forget to bring the originals as well.


STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE FOR GGSIPU COUNSELLING.


1) ATTENDANCE on the rank list.
2) A FILE will be provided to the students who have mark their attendance.
3) In that FILE you have to arrange your documents photocopy in the order which we have written in the DOCUMENTS REQUIRED. i.e. DD on top and list continues.
NOTE: Order can be changed by official. But order should be same otherwise they will pass comment in the whole auditorium on you.
4) On the cover page of FILE you have to written your 
RANK 
CATEGORY
REGION


5) Submit file according to your ranks.
6) DOCUMENT VERIFICATION : After submitting your FILE you will be called for DOCUMENT VERIFICATION where you need to go with your original documents on the Desks where they called you.
7) SEAT ALLOCATION: After the verification of every candidate you will be called for seat allocation. Generally the seat allocation bench sits behind the DOCUMENT VERIFICATION Desk. There you have to say only which college and course you want. You can ask them the choices available for you.
After seat allocation signed on the REGISTER given by ADMISSION OFFICER.


NOTE: A projector have been installed in the COUNSELLING ROOM that shows the AVAILABLE SEATS IN THE COURSE with COLLEGE NAMES.
WARNING: Sometimes updating data takes time. So have atleast 3 choices before going to SEAT ALLOCATION.


8) Wait for your ADMISSION SLIP to print. They will call you by your Rank for the same.


9) Enjoy You are Admitted. :D in GGSIPU.

WHAT AFTER THAT ??


1) Report to college where you got admitted with your original certificate.
2) Fill there ADMISSION FORM
3) ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE will be retained by that college.


NOTE: If you want to opt for 2nd counselling you have to take your ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS back at the time of counselling


4) Half of ADMISSION SLIP given by GGSIPU will be submitted in the college where you take admission.
