HOW TO CHOOSE B.Tech COLLEGE ?

After giving the ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAM like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, IPU-CET, etc. The main tension or a question that struck in the students mind is how to choose ENGINEERING COLLEGE. Even the students who have cleared the IIT-JEE exam are in chaos to choose from different IITs. The last 5 years record shown that 70% are going to IIT Kanpur from TOP 100.

In this post APNASEM are giving our reader some tips, advices and the things to keep in mind while choosing an ENGINEERING COLLEGES.

CHECK FOLLOWING THINGS:

1)INFRA-STRUCTURE :-

The most important thing to look after is the ENGINEERING COLLEGE CAMPUS i.e. its infra-structure. This important because you have to spend your life 4yrs there and if the campus is not good, then BIG NAME didn’t come. Now a days infrastructure of most of the Engineering colleges are good.

2) LAB :

If CAMPUS is the membrane of atom then LAB is its nucleus. The LABORATORY of the engineering college must be of high class with full safety measures available there.

3)CLASS ROOM

The classroom of an engineering college now a days must be technically sound. That means the use of Projectors, white board, marker etc.

4)LIBRARY

Many students during visit to the campus forget the very important integrand of CAMPUS. The library of an engineering college must be like that you can find any book there related from your field. The new journals , research papers, etc. all things that a student need to be techno-gix.

5)FACULTY

Check out whether the FACULTY have the qualification as per AICTE and UGC norms.

>> Check whether FACULTY is friendly or *&%$^$(*&#. This can be done by asking from the college students.

>> Check whether they give numbers litely or NOT ?

6)RESEARCH

This is the thing by which the college ranks hikes. Why its been all time dream of an ENGINEERING ASPIRANT to be in IITs. This is because in many IITs there is a scheme where the students need to submit there thoughts to improve technology or what they want to do with current weekly or monthly.

This is by the research through which the whole world will know about your college and students potentials.

Assume that you gone to an engineering college with very good research work and there you have researched and invented a new technology of MOBILE PHONES, LAPTOPs etc.

What will be your package after that ?

7)STUDENT TEACHER RATIO

Its been 15:1 as per AICTE norms. Check before taking admission that your college have atleast maintain that minimum norm. This is important because if the ratio is poor then the teacher may get burden and he/she will not teach at its best.

8)PLACEMENT

If you have checked all above things and it will be OK. Then surely the PLACEMENT IN ENGINEERING COLLEGE must also be OK. Now a days placement stats of the colleges are available on NET. Check their website for the placement stats.

9)FACILITIES

Now a days companies also look the EXTRA CURRICULUM, HOBBIES etc. section of the Engineers RESUME/CV. These all things reflects the student characteristics. The ENGINEERING COLLEGE must have its TECHNICAL FEST, SPORTS, DRAMA, MUSIC, TECHNICAL groups.  etc

Example: If a student was a Captain of its college team then he/she will surely lead the employ of the company better.

10)AICTE/UGC APPROVAL

This is the most important thing. Check college AICTE approval and its university whether its UGC approved or not.

NOTE: Also check for how many seats the college have approval for B.tech.

This is all done. After checking all these make a list of colleges in which you are interested. And then check how many marks they get.
